  ...to my boyfriend, we're going to have one of those weddings ('gay' weddings to the straights).. although my jw family know i'm gay, and not going to meetings, only one of my sisters has sussed the situation.

  but i think after 3 years it's about time i told them.

  especially if sometime in the future i'll turn up with a (gay) wedding ring.

  Hi belbab Great post I don't know if he will see it but those that really count will. I am a former long time elder and know where you are coming from. Jeez Splane sounds like the guy I once cared a lot for Wes Benner when he disfellowshipped Ray Franz. A Holes all of them . But in some sad way I feel very sorry for them TOO. kEEP ON KEEPIN ON BELBAB YOU ARE A GREAT EXAMPLE!

  Sorry having been an Elder for over 40 years I can confirm that all judicial hearings are guided by B S and nothing more. I have seen so much coverd up lied about etc. One person for instance came in lied her ass off that she had stopped smoking and adultery. She was welcomed with open arms back. Years later she divulged to me that she had lied about the whole thing so like I say all bull shit.

  the meetings are getting more boring to me.

  some of the elders during their parts just talk and talk and talk about uninteresting things.

  It was the same here. I went with my wife . The only person to interview was the young MS that does everything for the A H elders. The kid really thinks that he is serving God and that things are great for him. Crummy job no education but he is a pioneer and reaching for his badge. It is getting worse and worse there are no men reaching out. Everyone that I talk to has the same situation in their congregation. The organization is a death star burning out and in a while there will be no one but old people left. Kind of reminds me of the Millerites, where CT Russell got his teachings. What a sad story and to think that I actually supported them as an elder for 40 years just makes me sick.
